After your surgery has been scheduled, our office will let you know, if pre-op testing is required prior to your procedure. If it is, we will schedule it for you. Pre-op testing is an important appointment, if you do not keep your pre-op appointment your surgery could be cancelled. Please call the hospital at 798-8231 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM the evening before surgery to find out what time to be at the hospital the following morning.
Nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before surgery.
For all children under school age the hospital requires you to bring the vaccination record with you on the day of surgery.
If you are having nasal or sinus surgery, we advise that you eat a small meal before your post op appointment the packing is removed to avoid nausea. You will need someone with you during the post op appointment and they will need to drive you and stay with you at the office.
If you take any other medications, bring them with you to the hospital and they will advise.
Please Advise us if you are taking any Aspirin, Coumadin, Motrin, Advil, or Ibuprofen. Stop taking it 1 (one) week prior to surgery.
Make sure you have someone to drive you home after surgery.
Please call the office at 792-4623 to schedule your follow up appointment after surgery (regardless of what the hospital gives you).
